NAACP Issues Warning About American Airlines

This morning, the NAACP issued a warning for black Americans cautioning them against travel using American Airlines; they cited a "disturbing pattern of incidents reported by African American passengers" as the reason for the warning. A link from CNN.com explaining the situation is below:

This warning comes only two months after the NAACP issued an unprecedented travel advisory for black Americans traveling to the state of Missouri. What do these warnings say about the current state of race relations in the United States, and what does it mean that they have both been released in the first year of President Trump's term? What can we, the feminist community, do to show support for People of Color and to show that we will not tolerate discrimination?
